We offer a range of qualifications for managers at all levels,
team leaders and supervisors, trainers, assessors and internal
verifiers. Whether you are looking for a qualification that accredits
your existing competence or a development route for that next
move,
we have a qualification to suit your needs.
Management NVQs at levels 3, 4 & 5
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are based on defined
standards of competence for doing the job. Management NVQs
at all levels require candidates to show they are competent
in managing activities, resources, people and information.
They can also include specialist activities such as project
or quality management. Level 3 is suitable for supervisors,
level 4 for managers and level 5 for middle to senior managers.
To show they are competent and achieve the qualification candidates
present evidence from their own current work activities. Programmes
can be designed to include as much (or as little) training
and development as is required for candidates to achieve competence.
Assessor and Verifier awards
We offer a full range of qualifications
for assessors and verifiers. All are competence based – that
is, they are achieved by providing evidence that you carry out
the role in your normal
work and to the required standard. You can access full details
of our public programmes by clicking on a link.
A1 is for people who will act as the main assessor for NVQ
candidates (or candidates for similar qualifications). To
achieve this award
you must provide evidence that you have assessed 3 people
using different assessment methods and have worked with your
internal
verifier to ensure quality of assessments.
A2 is for people who will act as the workplace assessor for
NVQ candidates (or candidates for similar qualifications).
To achieve
this award you must provide evidence that you have assessed
3 people by advising them on collecting their own work
evidence, watching them work and asking them questions.
L20 is for people who support people who need to prove
their competence at work, by watching them, questioning
them, and
advising them on any further development they require.
L20 does not qualify
you to formally assess NVQ candidates.
V1 is for internal verifiers working within a centre
providing NVQ qualifications. The award is achieved
by showing how
you have supported and advised your assessors, monitored
their
assessment practice and sampled and verified their
assessment decisions.
You also need to show your involvement in quality improvement
and external verification procedures.
